Olof Nelson Glim was born 15 December 1865 in Glimakra, Skane, Sweden. He emigrated to the United States in 1882. He received his B. A. (1893) and B. D. (1900) from Augustana College and Theological Seminary. He was ordained in St. Paul, Minnesota, as a Lutheran Minister in 1899. Carl Otto Granere was born 27 September 1844 in Småland, Sweden. He graduated from Stockholm in 1870 and traveled to Augustana College in Paxton, Illinois, that same year. From 1872 to 1876 he was a professor of Latin and Swedish and assistant instructor in Church History and Doctrinal Theology at the College. The Tufve Nilsson Hasselquist papers, 1840-1988 and undated, primarily documents the personal and professional life of the second president of Augustana College, Tufve Nilsson Hasselquist. Hasselquist was born in Sweden in 1816 and traveled to America in 1852. John Henry Hauberg was a businessman, philanthropist, civic organizer, researcher, and photographer active in Rock Island and the Quad Cities area in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Hauberg and his wife, Susanne Denkmann Hauberg, were very active in the Quad Cities community, serving on many advisory boards and organizing dozens of philanthropic initiatives. The Iduna Society was founded 21 November 1902 and disbanded in the academic year 1925-1926. It was one of five Augustana College societies dedicated to the further exploration of the Swedish language through Swedish literature. The Iduna Society records, 1907-1922 and undated, contains three handwritten copies of the group's monthly publication, "Iduna," in Swedish, a bound book of meeting minutes in Swedish, and several miscellaneous documents in both English and Swedish.

The Indian trade ledgers collection, 1819-1979 (bulk 1819-1935), primarily includes eight original and two photocopied ledgers recording trade relations between settlers and Indigenous groups in the Upper Mississippi Valley. The trade ledgers list merchandise traded by Native Americans and settlers, such as food, work tools, and animals. The Jenny Lind Chapel was the first house of worship built by and for a Swedish Lutheran congregation in Andover, Illinois.
